There are fewer than 400 Sumatran tigers left in the wild, which makes every single cub a very big deal. At Howletts Wild Animal Park in Canterbury, UK, first-time mom Tipah gave birth to two girls and one boy on April 9th — and they’ve finally ventured out of the maternity den to see the world. Photographer Tony Kershaw was there to capture the sensory overload, and the photos are exactly what you’d hope for. One cub has already developed an independent streak. A star is born.
